Official EPA fuel economy numbers for the Bronco Sport will be available soon, for now these MPG numbers based off of official Canadian ratings will give us an idea of what to expect. I can't imagine it varying by much at all. My guess is that city/highway mileage might go up/down by a point while the combined numbers stay the same.

It does fall a bit short in MPG compared to its rivals. Hopefully it makes up for it with its performance.

2021 Toyota RAV4 AWD: 27/34/30 mpg
2021 Honda CR-V AWD: 27/32/29 mpg
2021 Subaru Forester AWD: 26/33/29 mpg
2021 Jeep Compass AWD: 22/30/25 mpg

I heard that a Bronco Sport Hybrid is in the works. If/when that happens, I predict something around 30 mpg combined will be possible. It would still be short of the Rav4 Prime (40 city/36 hwy/38) but like with current versions, Ford can make up for it in other areas.

Can you elaborate where you heard this info? I figured that this might be coming at some point. I have been seriously considering a Badlands 2.0 but hard news/dates on a hybrid powertrain could cause me to wait....? I also drove a Rav4 Hybrid last week, (Not the Prime Edition) and found it's performance to be plenty peppy for my needs. It's interior left me a bit flat however.
