Since I bought my 21 Sport, I haven’t gotten use to the rotary shifter. It’s just not my style. After looking through the internet seeing if anyone had found something different I came up short. So I did some research of my own and found out the 2021 and up F-150 console shifter actually use the same electrical connector as the Bronco Sport. So I bought one off of eBay to try it myself. Everything works when you plug the shifter in. All gears, including low or manual whichever your Sport is equipped with, the back up camera comes on, no error codes show up, and even the fold down button works. Now with this comes a lot of re-designing. The F-150 shifter is a lot taller and a lot bigger of course. So I chose to eliminate my cup holders (I know this won’t be popular if some people decide to do this but this is how I’m going to do it) putting the parking brake, brake hold, and G.O.A.T. Modes selector on the left side of the shifter. Now to make this all go into place I will of course need to design something on how to bolt it all down and cover up the sides so everything stays in place. But that is currently in the works. For now I just wanted to share this information that an F-150 shifter is compatible with the Bronco Sport. I will include pictures along my journey for anyone who is interested.

Even though I am an old school kind of guy, I like the fact there is no shifter in the way of accessing the cubbies.
